The diverse sugar composition, enzymes, proteins, and trace elements contained in honey affect the composition of foodstuffs by improving and enhancing their properties. Honey's short-chain sugars intensify the flavor of other ingredients. Because of this property, honey is the absolute top choice for marinades, for example – it boosts the effectiveness of spices and speeds up marination!

Honey reduces the oxidation of products, facilitates browning, and promotes their shelf life and freshness. These are excellent benefits in meat and bakery products, where best-before dates are inherently short and freshness is a key factor in consumer choices.
